Local SEO for Kissimmee and Orlando Businesses. The Short List That Works
A no-fluff local SEO checklist for service businesses in Kissimmee, Orlando, St. Cloud, and Central Florida. Google Business Profile, service pages, reviews, and speed.
Someone in Kissimmee needs a contractor, a cleaner, a furniture supplier. They pull out their phone and search. The map shows three businesses. Then a list of websites.
If you're not in either, you're not in the running.
Local SEO isn't magic. It's a short list of things done well and kept up. Here's mine.
1. Claim and finish your Google Business Profile
This is the map listing. It's free and it's the biggest lever for most local businesses.
- Correct business name, no keyword stuffing
- Real hours, including holidays
- The right category, plus a few secondary ones
- Photos of your actual work, your shop, your team
- Your service area if you go to customers
Check it once a month. Google lets other people suggest edits.
2. Same name, address, and phone everywhere
Your website, Google, Facebook, Yelp, the Chamber, industry directories. They should all match exactly. "Suite 4" on one and "#4" on another isn't the end of the world, but a different phone number is.
3. One real page per service
If you do roofing repair and roof replacement, those are two pages. Each one says what you do, who it's for, what it costs or how pricing works, and how to get a quote.
Don't make 40 copies of the same page with the city name swapped. Google sees through it and so do customers. If you really serve St. Cloud, Celebration, and Lake Nona, say so on the page, with real jobs you did there.
4. Ask for reviews, every time
Most happy customers will leave a review if you ask and send them the link. Most won't if you don't. Make it part of how you close a job.
Reply to every review. Good and bad. Short and human.
5. A site that works on a phone
Most local searches happen on a phone. If your site takes forever to load, or the phone number is buried, or the form doesn't work, the ranking doesn't matter.
Test it yourself. On cell data. Try to call. Try to submit the form.
6. Make the next step obvious
Phone number at the top. A quote form that asks the questions you'd ask on the phone. A clear answer to "what happens after I submit this?"
I wrote more about this in the quote form post.
What I won't promise
I won't promise you a ranking or a percentage. Anyone who does before looking at your market is guessing. What I can tell you is this list is where I start every time, and it's where most local sites fall short.
If you want me to look at yours, email me with your website and what you do. I'll send back what I'd fix first. Local business work runs through my studio, Nexrena.
